Legendary Aniamtion Creators to Appear as Official Guest at Anime Expo 2026

Anime Expo 2026 has announced that Moriyasu Taniguchi, Ryosuke Takahashi, and Toru Yoshida will participate as official Guests.
The event will take place from July 2 to July 5, 2026, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
Moriyasu Taniguchi – Legendary animator and founder of Anime R, active for over six decades, known for works including Armored Trooper VOTOMS, City Hunter, and Samurai Champloo.
Ryosuke Takahashi – Renowned director and creator who helped define the realistic mecha genre, with works such as Fang of the Sun Dougram, Armored Trooper VOTOMS, and Blue Comet SPT Layzner.
Toru Yoshida – Leading expert in mecha action and effects animation, contributing to titles including Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Fullmetal Alchemist, and multiple Gundam series.
Each guest is scheduled to participate in official programming. Further details will be announced at a later date.
